Leaving Paradise

So, we’re now off to Brugges in Belgium after a good 5 nights in Amsterdam.

The city has actually been amazing, and I think I might say that it’s been my favourite so far. Others come close, but while sitting in some of the less touristy neighbourhoods, I felt more and more like I could live just across the canal in one of the apartment buildings rather than just a tourist in a beautiful city. The plum colours of the cobblestones and buildings mixed in with the bright green trees that line the canal give it a wonderful colour scheme – certainly while sitting under a thunderstorm as well.

There are the other obvious “seedier” reasons why most people like Amsterdam, and I must admit that I enjoy their relaxed attitude towards specific substances, however, those are poor reasons to like a city and Amsterdam is no different. It is the actual city and the Dutch people that make it so interesting. Amsterdam is a city that is doing it’s own thing, and I respect that.

Anyhoo, we’re off to Brugges in an hour or so and then I’ll be reporting from Belgium.

‘Till next time.

Weeeeeeee!

Today we’re going to the Zoo!

Yayyyyyy!

(Regular posting will resume after Amsterdam)

Amsterdam

We’re in Amsterdam.

I’d like to continue this post, but for some odd reason I can’t remember what I was going to say…Strange.

Well, I’d better go back to the Coffeeshop to think about it.

Toodles.
